1,000 km bike ride for perfect cuppa

Coffee and tea garden motorcycle ride How far will you go for that perfect cuppa? How about 1,000 kms? It started with a casual conversation with my friend Arun Kottolli and avid biker himself. We had a long weekend with our independence day on August 15th 2025. We took one more day off and got Thursday to Sunday for 4 days circuit ride covering the major Coffee and Tea growing areas of three states of south india - Karnataka Kerala and Tamil Nadu. We got much more than a good coffee and tea. We had a great time, travelling through misty mountains, majestic rivers, lush Paddy fields and Jungles where Tigers and Elephants freely roam. I had the opportunity to test my new 35mm prime lens on my Sony Alpha camera. Shooting with a prime lens which lacks zoom, limits your composition and makes you zoom with your legs. Top of the world Bike ride to Umling-la

This is my story on "Top of the world" Motorcycle ride to the world's highest motorable road - Umling-la pass in the Indian Himalayas in Ladakh at 19,000+ feet.  Day 1 - Bangalore to Leh on Flight Sat 7th June 2025 Amazing to see Indian Himalayas - silver peaks amidst azure blue skies above Ladakh from Plane. Breathtaking beauty. Evening - Golden sunset on icy peaks. Flowers of Ladakh. Poplar trees. Arrived at Leh. we have a mandatory 24 hours rest-in period at high altitude in Leh, to get used to the altitude. We checked the motorbikes a bit. Met up fellow riders (six of us rode together, three (Glen, Godwin, Neeraj) were from Dubai, other three (Balaji, Jojo, Nash) were from India. The company matters on these rides. It was perfect. Pretty jovial team members made the inhospitable terrain quite hospitable. Day 2 - Leh to Alichi & return Saw the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, built in 1517ad, in Ladakh. Epic landscapes of India shot on my camera, during my motorcycle trips

Some of these pictures were taken during my motorcycle rides across length and breath of India. In some places, I have added a phrase to explain why the snap is special. Enjoy. 1.
